Kantai Collection 01

I never really got into Kantai collection. Probably because it never came to US and I never bothered to find the English translated version of the game. Heck I didn't even realize that it was being made into anime. Well Considering its popularity I am not that surprised.

For those you don't know Kantai Collection is the reason why Microsoft Surface sales took off in Japan.

Wait. I probably should just tell you what Kantai collection. The series is similar to Strike Witches and Girls and Panzers. It is a fan service where each girl represents the ship from WW2.  Like These

For those who are wondering there are Air Craft Carriers in there too. They actually look good.

 They shoot their bow and their arrow becomes the airplanes... complete with these mini pilots.

The show was funny in some way. I mean look at that series face.

For some of you, you might know this series by this girl.

Although she does not seems like main character in this one.

Also some of you might know this series by the art work. They have been around for a while. I have some as background picture on my laptop.

While I think they do look bit silly, I guess you have to satisfy the fanboys somehow. Either way If they sell life size of this, I would definitely buy it.

I mean that is so awesome!

Anyway. I do hope that this shows would be a surprise like the Girls and Panzer was. So far based on the first episode it does not seems like its going to be. However it was just character and setting introduction so we will see.
