1/100 Gundam Barbatos

Ever since the Gundam Iron Blooded Orphan kits came out, I was interested in their new kits. It was not a master grade kit, but like the Frame Arms kits, the idea of building a frame and adding armors on it made it interesting. Plus this 1/100 kits is less than your typical Master Grade kits and its very well detailed.

I also had alot of fun painting this kit.

Starting from the box art.
 The Manual

This part was new. This is the eye piece. Instead of clear green, Bandai gave it a very bright green color. It looks great though.

And one sheet of foil stickers. I hate these guys. Oh and don't expect it to look good. Some parts like the red triangle looking thing don't even line up properly.

For 1/100 scale kit, it doesn't have alot of parts.

However it does come with some bad ass looking weapons. Just look at that blade.

The foil stickers made this kit look horrible out of the box. That was fine with me because I wanted to paint it.

The frame was painted using Vallejo Metal color. It is all aluminum with red, blue, black, gold, copper added as details. It looks great. Almost like a Terminator since I made it all shiny. However i forgot to take pictures because I was so excited.

I colored it as original color. I even gave it a shiny paints. They took longer to dry and handle, but wait was worth it. I gave it a minimum wearthering with bit of chipping and staining with oil paints. It was panel lined with Vallejo wash. Result is a good looking kit.

Look at this bad ass.

The kit is not as detailed as Master grade kits. That hand for example just kills the look unless it is holding something. It is not as articulate as the Master grade kits.

Up side is that like the reborn 1/100 series, this is a fast  and easy build kit that looks great. It is easy to paint as well and parts are well separated. I only had to brush up on few parts. This kit ended up being a fun weekend project.

Plus its cheap cost made it a perfect kit that I can recommend.
