This is a GM Guard Custom from Gundam Origin. I was not expecting this kit to come out at all. It was a fun simple build.
It has been a while since I built something. I have been busy with stuff and these things got thrown aside. I wanted to build something simple and this was it. I also think that GM sniper is coming using this kit. the familiarity is there. Not to mention it is on the box art.
The manual here show some poses and the stickers. There are a lot of stickers. What is striking about this kit is the shield. That shield is as large as the mobile suit and it has two Gatling gun built in.
Some clear parts. That beam dagger looks cool.
This picture shows details on the head part. People who want to detail this up will be happy.
These are the stickers that came with the kit. The foil stickers are for color separations and it works okay.
The kit was very simple to build and it took only about two hours including the sticker.
To start off, here is the head...
And the visor goes down like GM snipers.
The backpack is simple but has two holes on the side. In MG Gundam Origin, this is where beam saber and backpack guns were attached. I guess Bandai will build more GM kits from the Origin series.
The arm bends all the way and the accessory attaches to the side.
The leg bends pretty far too.
Here are it's accessories. A giant shield, a bean gun, and two handles and two effect parts for the beam.
Unfortunate, the shield does not have anything to attach to the arm. The hand just holds it in place, so I can't put some cool poses.
The beam effect part can be attached to the arm, which I like.
Or you can take the part out, and make it into a dagger.
Like so
Also, the torso bends in the weird direction.
Here is the fully built kit. As you can see, it has a lot of details.
I didn't do much to the kit. I decided to put all the stickers on and do the basic panel lining. This is the results.
This kit would look awesome with full detailing.
I am getting busier with my job, but I am gonna try to build more kits. My backlog is getting bigger and I got more Megami Device kits that are coming, so I need to finish them soon.
