Custom 30MM build

30 Minutes Mission kits from Bandai are great kits. They are simple and easy to build, not to mention that they are easy to customize.

This is my custom work.

It didn't take a lot of work to get this to be honest. Most 30 Minutes Mission kits have standardized joints so it was more like working with legos.

These three are the kits I used to make the custom kit above.

The last one is Spinatio Sengoku type. One of the new release. It also includes this.

It's an extra runer with custom universal joints which allows you to connect different joints together.

Here is Portanova space type built straight out of the box.

Air Fighter

And Spinatio.

Because of the standardized joints, you can mix and match parts like these.

It does cause some loose parts here and there, but overall, It's a fun kit to play around with.

I actually built these to enter a contest from USA Gundam Store. My plan was to make a custom kit and my idea is this. Thanks to the universal joints set, making this was easy without any custom work.

Than I cleaned it up and painted it.

And this is what I got. Yup all I did was mix em up and paint em, and I got this cool-looking centaur.

For the paint, I used lacquer paint, either Mr. Color or Splash paint. For weathering, I kept it simple with panel line and weathering with oil paint.

Here is the finished picture.

Bandai did an awesome job with 30 Minutes Mission kits. They are easy to build with the usual Bandai magic. They are cheap and while it has problems with loose joints, They are fun to play around with even without painting. I am still amazed that I can make this awesome custom-looking piece without much effort and it just goes to show how well engineered these kits are.

Now I can't wait for 30 Minutes Sisters. Bandai will be making serious money there.
