Bravely Default finished.

Bravely Default

I finally finished the game Bravely Default. It is a long game and certainly remind me of good old JRPG like Final Fantasy. (Not those newer BS games. I meant old one like 6 7 and 8 )
The game was good… seriously good. Great story, great gameplay, and great visual. Speaking of visual. It was seriously good visual. In fact I played it in 3D on most occasion due to its graphic.
BTW spoiler alert.

This game, it was the story that got me hooked. From the start to the end. I found myself spending about an hour just reading the Ringabel’s book. Because it is part of the story line. I also found myself playing side quests just to try find out what really happened.

When I finally finished the game and saw the ending I was thoroughly disappointed. The ending was well just ending. Tiz, and Agnes did not get together. Ringabel and Edea did not get together either. I was so pissed at the ending I looked it up online and found out that I got the normal ending and there is true ending. Its just bit more grinding.

I also read the reviews online and it was raving about how easy it was to find out that Airy is evil. And about Ringabel’s past. The thing is it wasn’t...
Play the game and read the book and slowly it reveals it to you. The story and gameplay gives you clues one by one. The book shows whoever wrote the book loves Edea, and during story cut scene, Airy becomes impatient… giving off clues.
And there was this too…. Hate to admit it but I missed it.

Its suppose to say ‘Bravely Default, Where the fairy flies’. I wondered why it says where the fairy flies because it really has nothing to do with the story. (It mentions that there used to be a lot of fairies) well now I know.
When I finished the game on normal ending it gave me an option to save, so I can start from where I destroyed the crystal, so I can work on getting true ending without starting over. I am going to lay again to get the true ending. Normal ending was so empty…
Game play was fun too. There was bit of grinding.. However with help of auto battle, items for different exp, it does not feel as grinding as old JRPG did. Hell you can turn off the random battle all together.
Some of the dungeon felt horrible. It was just weird and I did not like it. Usually it’s the dungeon that makes it fun. At least the music was good. The music from dungeon is still my favorite.

If you like JRPG, I highly recommend this game. I heard that due to the sales of this game, Square Soft is going to focus more on handheld. Good for them.

I am going to get Bravely Second when it comes out. When Airy dies it died with a cliff hanger mentioning something about Ouroboros.  Lets see how that goes.
I personally cant wait for second.
