MG Gundam Deathscythe

I love Gundam Wing series, and  Really love Katoki designed mobiles suits. I have built few of the series and loved every one of them. Here is the latest one I built.

Gundam Deathscythe. Ah.... High School memories.

For some reason this kit is not that popular. I am not sure why. The kit is very detailed and gorgeous kit.

It is very well proportioned kit.

 The leg it bit thick but still it looks very good.

The shoulder could be little bit wider.

The kit had other problems too. Like this arm, it is showing its age. It needed filing and sanding. Lots of it.

Also. The skirt likes to pop out. For no reason sometimes. Recommend gluing this part even if you are building straight out of the box.

Also like the other Wings series kit, the head has alot of gap. It is ugly. You can fill it and file it. but it means you have to paint the details as whole piece.

This kit also lacks accessories. It has 2 weapons, but hey they are awesome looking. Like this one, Which I believe it flies in the show. I don't see how it flies on this kit.

And the Scythe. The Scythe. Oh man I love the look of it.

I still don't know why not alot of people like this kit. Probably because of his big brother. (which is same kit with different backpack and shoulder pack)

The kit took about 4 hours to build, and it was very easy build. I highly recommend glue and basic file set.

I took about a week for me to build and paint it. For paint, I used gold for the yellow part. For the dark blue part I used Navy blue mixed with some black. I think the color came out well. I also did some pre-shading before paint and some panel lining and filtering with various colors.

Here are the few pictures. I think I over did it on filtering but I think it came out alright.
