Char's ZAKU II (Origin version)

HG MS-06S ZAKU II CHAR CUSTOM (GUDAM THE ORIGIN VERSION.)

What a beautiful kit this is. There are few Origin kits coming out and this is the first one in the line and wow the level of detail is just simply amazing. This is also a HG kit, so price is right and its easy to build. It took be little over an hour to build it out of the box. Little more to detail it.

 The Manual like all Bandai kits were very well detailed and easy to understand.

There are plenty of stickers too. However not all of them are shown. There are few extra ones so I have to look at the RG kit to verify.

Here are the stickers. A sheet of foil stickers for camera lens, and a RG type clear stickers which works well but not really my favorite when detailing.

For a HG kit there are alot of parts. It is still not very complex build though. And that rifle. That alone was worst the purchase of this kit. It is beautiful and well detailed rifle.

Here is the close shot of the rifle.  Like any other Bandai kit its well detailed, not alot of faults (There are some but nothing really bad) and the gates are small and well designed so it was easy to clean.

From the first part of the build, I saw something unusual for HG kit. that is part of the neck which makes the head swivel little better. Alot better than poly-cap that was used before.

As I mentioned the kit took little over an hour and with little weathering. Panel lining with gundam marker, dry brushing with silver paint and finished with coat of matt clear. It looks gorgeous considering that I have not painted it. And the colors, which are different from RG kit (RG is lighter pink) makes this kit looks really good. Only part which I did not like is the effect of the sticker. The Matt coat made it stick out. (Look at the chest mark for example)

Here is the shot showing its pose. Due to its design, it poses very well.

The level of Detail is nothing compare to RG kit, however because there is no small inner frame (Or any really really small parts) it is more durable, and with painting and bit more of detailing this kit would look great.

Even as it is the kit looks great. This would be great week-end project as is and I highly recommend it.  I love it so much it sits on 'Holy shit I f@cking love it' shelf.
