How does it look?
Somehow it became one of my best work.
I was able to find some old pictures. Thank god.
Here is the manual. That old style manual
With well despicted painting guide
And this. I love looking at manual just to look at these pictures. I know its unrealistic, but still it looks cool.
Sadly, I hate the stickers it comes with. Dry transfers. Sigh.
As expected of old kit. Part numbers are small... but still its well detailed.
And here are the finished pictures.
Here is better picture of the leg. I didn't really go into detail even though it is the striking part of the Nemo. That open frame leg.
Here is with its cockpit open. Unlike newer kits, it opens all the way showing the opening completely. It well detailed too.
Here is with the pilot figure. I didn't paint the figure but you can guess the size.
The kit is painted with mix of Tamiya and Vallejo model paint with Vallejo primer. Its all airbrushed in using pre shading and after shading. I hated the decals that came with so I used sparingly and tried to use decals from different kit. The weathering is done by first filtering with oil paint. I did the chipping effect using fine brush and Vallejo Panzer Aces Dark Rubber. I used Citadel Runefang Steel for dry brushing. Final touch of weathering done with Tamiya Weather Master.
The kit was easy to build and well detailed. It shows that it is old kit with weak and flimsy plastic but it fits well and while not breath taking it looks good. If you love grunt kit I would say grab it. If you can find it.
