Sigh... I told myself I won't build more Frame Arm Girls because of its price, but I end up buying more of them. These kits are that good.
I finished the Stylet this weekend and once again it was a fun build.
This kit is the second one from the series and there were few improvements from the Gorai like the skirt. However it still has a lot of problems like the loose hip joints.
Once again, staring from the box art. A very gorgeous box art
And here are the part. Thankfully it included a basic stand, and lots of weapons.
Here are the extra parts including the water slide decals. I will be using the stripes panties for this build. I regret not using it on Gorai.
And here is the manual. The last page had a little build guide on custom build. Well this kits are popular for its customization. It is a very nice touch. Too bad I can't read Japanese.
Here is the color guide. I will be painting in different color though.
And some more extra pictures of what you can do with parts from Frame Arm series. Some of the pictures looks really nice like that sniper rifle.
Here is the out of the box build. At a glance it looks okay. Color separation can use a little work though.
And that glossy face compare to the main body... sigh.
One gimmick this kit has over the Gorai is that its skirts can flip up like act of divine wind. Showing once again, a well detailed underwear. Oh and that underwear is shorter than the Gorai kit. Making it more sexier.
Here is the close up of the jet pack. Looks like parts bin from the F-16 but somehow it fits well.
And yes. It does include the parts to make it look like the box art.
The weapon it includes are a Gatling gun.. which is weird since it has no ammo. and pair of missiles.
It also include a pair of Katana of different length. This is a little weird since it does not really go with the kit. Not to mention the included holder does not go anywhere. This does make me wonder how high Kotobukiya was when they packaged this. Still I can't complain. Extra weapon means I can use it on other kits.
I decided to paint this in a way that it would present it as American weapon. The large gatling gun just says American. (A-10 comes to mind) The body was sanded and was shaded using pastel. The hair was painted using mix of Tamiya paint than shaded using pastel. Yup I love Pastel shading. It works really well.
The body color was painted using different colors of Vallejo Air. Light grey was used as base and darker grey was used for that camouflage look. I think it came out okay. I found some US air force decal on extra parts I had in hand.
Yes.. that striped panty. The main focus of this build.
I made more mistakes on this. I used flat white and somehow it gave the panty a very dirty look. I used the included water slide decal and its not a pure purple. It is made of small circles which give it a textured look. Once finished it gave a very used and dirty look. Not what I was aiming for.
Well that is that. I don't have extra decals so what is done is done. I won't make that mistake on future build. I do have 3 more Frame arms girl kits to build. The family is growing.
Seriously though... This kit is too expensive.
