Here is the latest of the Frame Arms Girl series Baihu.
She is Gorgeous.
Kotobukiya kit has come a long way and their kits are high quality. Baihu is similar to their first Frame Arms kit Gorai, however, it is very different. All the parts fit, there are minimum flesh marks, and plastic also appears to be of higher quality, unlike the Gorai. I still think $60 I paid for this kit is expensive, however, it doesn't feel bad as the Gorai did.
Here is the box art.
The artist has changed. I somehow like this drawing.
The instruction manual is similar to F.A.G. series.
It includes sample pictures with a color guide.
And modified kits to show what it can do.
It also comes with waterslide decals. Baihu only includes 3 set of eyes. Little disappointing. I somehow miss the water slide decals for underwear. I kinda wish they added more for decals like letters, markings.
This kit comes with 2 different faces, with 2 of the same basic stare face. I wonder why they cheaped out on this part, but then again, I have a lot of faces from other kits. I also noticed that there is a tab on top of the face which needs to be cut off. weird.
Speaking of cheap out. The hands are attached to the sprue now. It is still rubber-like material and it is easy to cut out so I didn't mind.
And here are all the sprues. Compare to Bandai kits, it does not have a lot of parts for $60 kit.
However, details are amazing. It is on par with the recent HG kits.
Colors are great too. Look at this light blue and pink sprue.
Also, it seems like, with each update, their chest seems to grow bigger and bigger.
Here is the fully assembled kit. Just out of box build, and it looks great. Parts fit perfectly, seam lines were minimal. Only flesh marks were on her hair and on her thigh which was barely visible. The only downside I can think of is that her twin tail like to get in the way and are easy to pop out.
Her breast is a lot bigger than the previous kit. I love it.
The faceplate is a lot more detailed. I love that blush.
Here is her backside. I love her naked backside. It is very sexy.
Her leg is skinny but strong enough to hold her steady
And her ass. Kotobukiyaknew exactly what we like and detailed it accordingly.
Give it a slight bend and... oh lord.
She can do kneeling stance...
But it makes her bottom look weird. Also, that blue ribbon is a really nice touch.
Her legs can't really do split either
That ribbon...
She comes with few extra.
which includes her helmet with a fully built-in face.
Also, unlike previous kits, the joints disconnect so you can pop it out to change it or pose it. Very nice touch. too bad the joints are still attached on one side. If it was fully detachable, it would be easier to paint.
Here is her fully armored version. Well fully armored, but its just her chest plate, shoulder pad, and her helmet.
The helmet looks weird thought with that chin. The chin does detach, and it makes her look a lot better.
Her backpack is nicely detailed, but I don't like the fact that it covers her back, which is her focus point.
It does have a little space but it is not enough.
Her backpack can mount weapons, and this kit gives your 2 guns and 1 sword and 1 sensor.
I have to say though, the kit does not look as good as the picture.
Well, this is part one. I am planning to paint this kit. I wanted to do custom color, but it is named Baihu, so I am going to keep it white.
This kit was purchased from Gundamplanet.com.
