I am beginning to think HG Origin kit is the best HG kit out there. I have been building a few for now and I love all of them and they were all fun to build. They don't have the mobility of the HG AGE kits, although it is not as bad as the old HG kits.
This kit is no exception. The kit itself is cheap, easy to build, and it got enough details to keep me satisfied. The bulk of the kit does sacrifice some of the articulation, however, I think the look and articulation are well balanced in this kit.
Here is the box art. Yes being Ramba Ral edition, it was supposed to be blue, I painted it tan for fun of it.
This kit has enough stickers. Not too many like Ver. KA. kits but enough.
Here is the kit that is built out of the box.
Even straight build it looks gorgeous.
Speaking of articulation, the arm bends pretty well.
As well as the legs.
However due to the bulky shoulder, it is hard to pose the arm outward, and due to the leg design, it is hard to close them all the way.
The kit comes with few accessories. Most notable one is the gun and the shield. It does have two sets of heat hawk, one extended and the other is stow mode, but the included hand can barely hold it and its pretty useless.
I painted the kit using Tamiya paint. I decided to paint it Tan and make it more of the grunt suit look. I weathered it mostly with oil paint. One thing that ruined this kit is the included stickers. I really wish I can get waterslide decals for these kits.
My favorite part is the shield. I used Vallejo Steel and with few weathering, it came out looking great.
This pose will be how I will set it on my display. I really like this proud look and it makes this kit look menacing.
The kit was purchased from Gundam Planet.
