30MM Alto

This was my entry to NewTypeHQ 2020 bracket challenge. Unfortunately, I lost at Semi-Finals but I wasn't surprised since there were so many good entries.

This was my first build of the Bandai's new 30 minutes mission line. I only built it for this contest and I regret not building this earlier.

let's start from the box art.

It's really basic. The CG representation of the kit looks great.

The content of the box is very scarce. Well, it is a kit designed to be built in 30 minutes.

It comes with a set of stickers that has numbers on it.

The manual was easy to read and well laid out. Children should be able to build this very easily.

Like the name suggests, it should take around 30 minute to build this kit. I took a little longer because I took time sanding each part and filling the panel gap. Even with all that it took under an hour.

The kit was fun to build as well due to its simplicity. Because of that, I forgot to take pictures of out of the box built.

I did a basic paint job for this kit. Badger primer, Tamiya Acrylic paints were used. The panel line was done by Tamiya panel liner, and the chipping effect was done using sponge and dark gray acrylic paint. I also gave it some rust streak and stain using oil paint.

Here is the finished kit.

As you can see, even with basic paint job and weathering, this kit looks great. To make it even better, this kit is highly poseable even with the paint job.

Bandai has a winner and I am looking forward to their future 30 minute mission kits.

Also thank you NewTypeHQ for the fun contest. I would have never built this kit if it wasn't for your contest.
