This was my weekend project for me, and it was easy build. Painting took a bit more than usual, but it was not hard compared to others.
I must say it looks gorgeous. Gawd I love grunt kits.
Here is the box art. Showing one scene that may possibly from the anime. That box pose is just awesome.
The kit does have alot of parts for HG kit but than again, its becoming normal. I have to admit that building mines were bit of a chore.
Here is the manual, with built kit on front.
Here is part of the manual for mines and the way to change the shield and should to punching thing. Unfortunately the hinge part is bit weak so when I tried it it felt apart.
Here is more part of the manual on what this kit can do.
This kit comes with one foil sticker. Sorry for the bad quality. This sticker set is good for out of the box kit build, however it was problematic for me since since I painted mine. Kinda wish they included clear sticker set especially for the logo. Especially for the chest part.
And here is the finished product. Sorry for no pose. I did took few shots of action pose before painting it (I hate posing painted kit because it scratches) However pictures went missing. Well I still have to say the kit poses very well for what it is.
The kit is painted using Vallejo Model colors acrylic paint using airbrush. Alot of people say its hard to use Vallejo for airbrush but that is not the case if I use Vallejo thinner. I also tried different way to paint, using different opacity of same color to achieve feeling of depth. I think it came out well.
After the paint , the kit was dry brushed than weathered with Tamiya Weathering Master. I tried different techniques for the weathering master and I think I am getting better. Just look at the shield part. It came out great. Also the Tamiya Weathering Master cuts off my time on weathering. While it is not as great as using paint with thinner or sponge or others techniques... it does show great weathering while using little time.
Here are the rest of the pictures. So again for no poses. Enjoy!
