Well here is a unique kit.
Master Grade version of RB-79 Mobile Pod Ball is a great kit. It has a lot of details so people who like to detail up their gunpla love it.
From the awesome Ball kit, P-Bandai made this. RB-79PP Polypod Ball. It's a mobile pod shown in TV series Gundam Build Divers.
And it is glorious.
Starting from the box art, It is a P-Bandai design of the monotone box. At least it's green.
The instruction manual. Most of the pictures are from VER. Ka kit.
This kit includes a metal rod and red wire for the detailed look. Same as Ver. KA. kit.
Even the decals are the same. It has a set of a dry transfer and sticker. The clear sticker on the left of this picture is a downfall of this kit. It is thick and cut in a weird way so that it ruins the look of your kit once you apply them.
The difference between this kit and the Ver. Ka kit is that this kit does not include the stand, pictured below. I took this one out of the Ver. Ka kit that I have in stock.
This kit does include 8 sets of sprues to build its 4 spider legs.
I found this kit very easy to build. Building four set of the same leg did get annoying and using a wire was a bit new, but it was not hard. Here are the pictures of OOB build without any decals.
As you can see it is very clean even without any painting.
I did paint this kit using Vallejo paints. The metals are using Vallejo Metal Color.
I love the Master Grade kits of this era. It has a lot of details on its frame. The newer kits do not really do this, however, newer ones are more poseable. For this kit, this is fine. Its like building an aircraft.
Here are some pictures of the inner frame as I built this kit
Here is the ball part without the legs. As you can see, it looks gorgeous with a little bit of work.
And here are the pictures of this kit complete with its unique spider legs. I only weathered it a bit using chipping effect using acrylic paint and bit of Tamiya weathering master.
