Gundam Origin continues to give us great kits and here is another example. HG RX-78-01 Gundam FSD (Full Scale Development)
I just can't get enough of these retro yet modern mobile suit.
RX-78-01was bit of a mystery until Origin Manga came out and it showed for a few pages. It gave a glimpse of firepower it has. Unfortunate this kit does not represent the very suit that was destroyed in the manga. This is like a rebuild of the original kit as a development kit. Still, I am glad we got one.
From the box art, you can see the main point of this mobile suit. the giant Gatling gun.
This kit comes with a lot of stickers.
The build is very simple, yet it has a few small parts on its head. Here are the pictures of the kit out of the box build without the stickers.
I painted this kit using the original colors as much as possible. The light tan didn't look good so I replaced them with gray. The body is not black. Its dark brown.
The Vallejo and Tamiya acrylic paint was used for the most part. Weathering was done using silver paint and a sponge and Tamiya Weathering Master.
