Here is SUPER FUMINA!
She is the first official MS girl, (As far as I know.) so I was pretty excited when it was announced. I have always liked the MS girl series since when I first saw the Z-Gundam girl.
I was bit worried since I was not sure about figure kit from Bandai. I was not even sure if they made them before this. (They do make Star Wars kit)
For the their fist try on MS girl... it wasn't bad... but it was also very disappointing.
Box art looks good. It is typical HG box art. Its not very detailed, but its cartooni way makes it look good.
And here are all the runners. Not alot, and I think that grey part is shared with her other kit.
This skirt part and that hairdress part is a soft plastic.
And here is the underwear. Its not very detailed like Frame-Arm girl series, but considering that this is HG kit an HG kit is for kids, it will do.
Also it comes with a stand. It needs it too since, feets are really small and it is back heavy.
Set of foil stickers to compliment the colors. It does come with several eye and eyebrow stickers.
And the typical detailed and colored photo on the manual. Not overly built but looks decent.
And... here is out of box build. Just standing there it doesn't look bad... but this kit has alot of problems. I'll explain those later.
Here is close up of the face. I used the eye sticker instead of painting it. I was expecting worst but it doesn't look that bad. Even with the clear lens on.
The stand plugs into the backpack, instead of usual between the leg hole. I can kinda see why that would be a problem.
Here it is with skirt off (the advertised cast-off part) Look at that slim waist. He said 10% but that is more than 10% It looks ridicules.
It does bring out that large breast though. I didn't know she was huge. Anyways, these pictures shows one of the main problem of this kit. See that sticker for the pants? I have tried my best to put that on, and that's how it came out. It even tore!, Heck it doesn't even line up! what were they thinking!
Ummmm yeah... It is a figurine... I had to do a sexy pose. Look at dat ass! (or lack of actually. she is really top heavy)
This sticker in this picture really ruined it... probably the reason why I decided to paint this kit.
Now looking at the side, its really out of proportion.
Tried that ass grab pose...
The skirt lift... which really didn't work because there isn't much of articulation on that arm.
Oh even thought that skirt is soft rubber, its really hard to bend the leg and waste. This picture was pretty much forced.
And that shoulder joints really creeps me out. Not to mention that creepy smile... Is Bandai trying to scare kids?
The kit has other problems too. Like this panel gap. Really disappointing since its from Bandai.
It took alot of preparation, just to get this kit ready for painting. However it wasn't that hard and color separation is really good and the Poly-Cap just plugs in.
And here is the painted Super-Fumina. I decided to use same color because well... I have no imagination. I did try to use shading to pop out her armor and I think it worked. I mean just look at that breast! I put simple white highlight right there and it made this kits pop out. I'll leave few pictures here so you guys can ogle.
I used XF-15 flat skin and I think it came out really dark. I didn't even realized it until I put it all together. I also used colored pencil to highlight her creepy smile in hopes that it would look better. Well it did made her more 'adult' feel to it but its still creepy.
And of course some upskirts... I wouldn't be a guy if I didn't take few upskirts. I know you want it too.
The painted biker pants definitely looks better. However When I tried to pose it, it woud run against the pelvic area and strip the paint off. So I didn't pose this kit and left is as static display.
Oops forgot to mention this. See that white skirt? Well its made out of rubber so its impossible to clean the nubs properly. It just kept damaging the surrounding area. It did disappear a little with paint, but still it looks horrible.
I think Bandai went half-assed on this kit. Bad articulation, Horrible use of soft rubber part. and blend detail. Sure the build was easy and fun but it really disappointed me. However I had to remind myself that this is HG kit. Its primary market is for kids. Put that into equation, some of the decision Bandai made on this kit made sense. Still...
Can we get MG Super Fumina please? You know with all the 'Cast-Off' parts?
