30 Minute Sister SIS-G00 Rishetta

Bandai has been trying to get into Mecha Musume kits, but their kit has been a bit lacking. Their early attempt was horrendous, while their Figure-Rise Standard has been okay, it still had a few problems. 30 Minutes Sisters are Bandai's new line, following the success of the 30 Minute Missions. The idea is the same. Interchangeable parts allow awesome customization options. Same idea with Kotobukiya's Frame Arms but with Bandai quality.  This Rishetta is their first release to 30MS and having built this, They got a hit in their lineup.

It still has issues, which is understandable since it is the first one of hits line, but at least she looks like a girl this time.
Box art is very simple with a beautiful picture of Rishetta in the front, and a large face dominating in the back.

The kit doesn't have a lot of parts. The parts are well sculpted and detailed, and the plastic is that soft and high-quality plastic that is used in 30MM kits.

Surprisingly they had three face plates that are pre-painted. There are no water slide decals included so painters like me are left behind. I did hear that separate water slide decals will be available separately. The pre-painted parts did jack up the price of this kit, and I would have prefer water slide decals but I can see why they did it this way.

Like 30MM kits, the runners are multi-colored and they can be separated for each section.

The instruction manual is simple with lots of pictures of its finished and option parts. It has both Japanese and English however, the instruction are clear and well laid out so words were not needed.

THe instructions start with where to separate runners.

It also shows how all the optional parts can be used to make unique kits. For 30MS kits, these separate parts are where they make the money.

The build was pretty much straightforward. Parts cut out easy and assembly was a breeze. The soft plastic, which is used to give friction/tension on joints, because these kits don't use polycaps. This was a problem with 30MM and it is also a problem with 30MS as well. When cutting out the parts, the plastic drags causing stretch marks. Thankfully, the connection points are small so light discoloration is small but it is very visible. The biggest downside however is when you are sanding the kit. The sanding will cause micro scratches, making it look ugly. Other than that, I didn't have much issues with the build.

Here is the finished kit, built straight out of the box. First are the pictures of the unarmored version.
As you can see, it has a more feminine look. Fumina kit had a male frame with a large breast, which made her look weird, but this kit has a narrower shoulder with a wider hip so its proportions are very pleasing.

THe hair is well detailed as well.

The simple build did cause a bit of issue with its articulation, especially with its hip joints, but it can still pull some poses. The shoulder joint, which is an issue with a lot of these kits, is fixed in this kit by using 3/4 ball joint. This was done so it doesn't break due to stress, however, it does pop out if pushed far so it did cause some issues.

Here are the pictures with the included armor on. It's not alot but it is enough to make this kit look unique in its own way.

I really like her cat look, which can make some unique poses.

Meow.

Next pictures are the option body part set. This one is 30MS Option Body Parts Type G01 [Color A] which was released with Rishetta. This optional body parts included blue trimmed body with shoulder and thigh. Enough parts to make this.

The well-endowed chest is the centerpiece of this kit.

I just can't peel my eye off of it.

The blue color clashes with the yellow but it does make this kit look unique.

Next are the 30MS Option Parts Set 1 (Speed Armor) designed specifically for Rishetta. It adds some more yellow parts, making the original armor kit more complete.

There are more option parts set, but I didn't have money to buy them all. Not to mention they were all out of stock when I was trying to buy them.

I painted this kit with Mr. Color lacquer paint. To start, I had to use Filler primer to hide all the scratch marks caused by the soft plastic. This worked well laying out the foundation for the smooth paint finish. I used the usual shading method by painting darker tones first and spraying light shade after. I also used after-market water slide decals for her eyes. They were too thick so it took some extra care, but it worked well.

Here are the pictures of the finished kit, starting with the unarmored version.

Looks good but I made a big mistake. I didn't check the fitment on her hip and thigh joint before painting and it's tight-fitting, not to mention pegs inside extends out. This causes paint scrape on her thigh part. So I can no longer post this kit. It might look good in the picture but the upper part of the skin tone is completely scratched off.

But those knockers. Jesus. No wonder those were sold out.

And here are with the base armor parts.

And with the Speed armor. The yellow really pops out.

I really enjoyed the build. It was simple and fun with alot of customization options. The sex appeal was there as well thanks to the optional body part, but most importantly, Bandai finally learned female anatomy so she really looks like a girl this time. The soft plastic and lots of scraping points made painting hard, but doable with extra care. The kit is rather expensive for what it is, but it is still cheap compared to others. I don't like how this kit is monetized to optional parts, but it is optional. despite its faults, I highly recommend this kit.

Also, I lost all the video footage. So I can't make the usual video of the Let's Build series which I was really looking forward to.
